There\u2019s little doubt Boorman, coming off hit \u201cDeliverance\u201d and the decidedly odd \u201cZardoz,\u201d was trying for something ambitious with the movie which involved hypnosis, locusts, African mysticism and more.<\/p>\n<p>Now, filmmaker David Kittredge explores what happened with the feature documentary \u201cBoorman And The Devil\u201d which has released a trailer.<\/p>\n<p>Kittredge said in an interview that the doco isn\u2019t really about the \u201cExorcist\u201d sequel so much as the need to take risks as an artist and that it can cost you if you fail \u2013 as it did Boorman.  <\/p>\n<p>Linda Blair, the late Louise Fletcher, Karyn Kusama, Joe Dante, Mike Flanagan, Boorman himself, and more all participate in the doco, which Kittredge writes, directs, and produces.
