ARGENTINA, \u2014 Scientists conducting an underwater expedition off the coast of Argentina have documented dozens of unique ocean species, including a distinctive starfish that has captured attention for its unusual appearance.<\/p>\n

The recent expedition yielded numerous discoveries in the largely unexplored ocean depths, with researchers finding some previously unknown species. More than 80 percent of Earth’s oceans remain unexplored. Scientists are always making new, jaw-dropping discoveries, in the deep unknown.<\/p>\n

Among the documented species was a particularly notable starfish specimen found on the ocean floor. The starfish, described as a “Patrick Star look-alike, sporting what looks to be a bodacious behind,” stands out for its distinctive physical characteristics.<\/p>\n

Scientists believe the starfish likely belongs to the genus Hippasteria and noted that it “is notable for its plump center.” The discovery adds to the growing catalog of unique marine life found in Argentina’s coastal waters.<\/p>\n
