Nineteen-year-old Auckland-based Fijian citizen Rajat Rai has won the 2026 Fiji Golf Classic Amateur Tournament at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club.<\/p>\n
While receiving his award, Rai acknowledged the support of his parents, saying he would not have achieved this success without them.<\/p>\n
He says his proudest moment of the week was embracing his parents in tears after walking off the 18th hole.<\/p>\n
The 19-year-old also thanked family, friends and supporters who travelled from overseas to be part of the occasion, saying he is already looking forward to returning next year.<\/p>\n
162 people participated in the men’s and women’s grades with people came from the US, Canada, Australia, and Fiji.<\/p>\n
