The Lithuanian club officially announced the signing of high-flying big man Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu<\/a> to a one-year contract with an option for an additional season.<\/p>\n

According to Chema de Lucas<\/a>, Zalgiris will pay a buyout to Cedevita Olimpija for the Nigerian center, who signed with the Slovenian club earlier this summer. Akobundu-Ehiogu reportedly had a EuroLeague exit clause valid until the end of the month.<\/p>\n

Akobundu-Ehiogu arrives after season with Manresa <\/p>\n

Akobundu-Ehiogu spent last season with Manresa, averaging 4.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 13 minutes per game in the EuroCup.<\/p>\n

He converted 79.1% of his field-goal attempts in the competition.<\/p>\n

The center posted similar numbers in the Spanish ACB League, registering 4.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 13 minutes per contest while shooting 81.6% from the field.<\/p>\n

Akobundu-Ehiogu also represented the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Summer League last month. Across five appearances, he averaged 6.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game.<\/p>\n
