At 33, Rams receiver Davante Adams is young by societal standards. By NFL standards, he\u2019s not quite Methuselah \u2014 but he\u2019s getting there.<\/p>\n
Speaking with reporters on Sunday, Adams addressed the fact that he\u2019s not getting any younger as he enters his 13th NFL season. (Then again, who is?)<\/p>\n
\u201cI battle with that sometimes, I do,\u201d Adams said. \u201cI am the old man and I feel young because I can still go out there and do young man stuff, but then my body don\u2019t necessarily feel the same way it\u2019s done as it was back at Puka [Nacua\u2019s] age.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of the day, what\u2019s 13 times seven? Because this is dog years out here. It\u2019s a whole different ball game than living years. If I can continue to play at a high level, I\u2019ll deal with the other stuff whether it\u2019s talking about me being old or a little bit of extra pain. It\u2019s just a little extra work you have to do to come out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
He\u2019s still playing at a high level. Adams caught 14 touchdown passes to lead the league (for the third time) in 2025, despite missing three regular-season games.<\/p>\n
And even though it doesn\u2019t get discussed much, Adams surely has a little extra motivation from the fact that the Rams explored trading for receiver A.J. Brown, which would have resulted in Adams being traded yet again.<\/p>\n
For now, Adams is going nowhere. When his fourteenth season (times seven) rolls around, who knows where he will be? For now, he\u2019s a Ram \u2014 and that gives him the best chance he\u2019s had to add a Super Bowl ring to a potential Hall of Fame resume.<\/p>\n
Six-time Pro Bowler. Three-time first-team All-Pro. Seventh all-time in receiving touchdowns. Sixteenth in catches. Twenty-sixth in receiving yards.
