Adam Doueihi and the Tigers may have publicly kissed and made up last week following another dramatic saga but a belief remains that there\u2019s still plenty of tension at the club.<\/p>\n

Doueihi withdrew from the Tigers\u2019 Round 21 clash against Canberra and days later it emerged that the playmaker was unhappy with the culture and standards at the club<\/a> and at odds with coach Benji Marshall.<\/p>\n

Doueihi was recalled for the Eels clash last weekend and days prior to that loss, Doueihi and Marshall faced the media to clear the air. <\/a><\/p>\n

While Doueihi was clearly contrite, regretted his actions and confirmed his commitment to the club until the end of his current deal (2029), it\u2019s been reported that there\u2019s still animosity behind closed doors.<\/p>\n

\u201cHave you heard the noise I\u2019ve been hearing about how they\u2019re still at odds,\u201d NRL360 host Braith Anasta put to journalists Brent Read and Dean Ritchie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t imagine there would be players in that dressing room that wouldn\u2019t be unhappy with Adam Doueihi after what came out in the past week,\u201d Read replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were players in that dressing room who basically got fingers pointed at them because of what people close to Adam Doueihi were telling the media, so I don\u2019t know how that gets smoothed over in a week so I think there would be lingering bad blood.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether they can fix it in the off-season and move on, we\u2019ll see won\u2019t we. Time will be the judge. Let\u2019s see if Doueihi honours like his contract like he told Tigers fans he will.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, Ritchie broke the story about the culture issues at the club, including a stunning claim that Tigers players were vaping in the gym.<\/a><\/p>\n

In his media opportunity last Wednesday, Marshall steadfastly denied the vaping rumour and said \u201cI don\u2019t feel like there\u2019s a culture problem\u201d.<\/p>\n

Ritchie doubled down on his reporting, revealing that Doueihi was well aware what was being leaked to the media.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t tell you what I know because I\u2019m not in the business of giving up contacts. Adam Doueihi knew exactly what he was telling certain people and he knew they were talking to the media and that was me,\u201d Ritchie said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know exactly what has gone on behind the scenes. It was deemed to be \u2018unfixable\u2019 and that story was 100% correct. Whatever happened in the next 48 hours seemed to sort it out and that\u2019s fine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know what went on and I can tell you now that the drama there was deep and he was telling confidants exactly what he thought of the club.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Douehi back in the side after his one game hiatus, the Tigers fell just short of a come-from-behind win against the Eels.<\/p>\n

Doueihi scored nine points, including a field goal which put the Tigers ahead with eight minutes on the clock before the Eels scored a game-winning try moments later.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Doueihi situation, well he played well but I can\u2019t still forget what he did. It\u2019s left a taste in everybody\u2019s mouth,\u201d Ritchie said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Tigers to front up and pretend nothing happened basically, say we\u2019re all back in love and the marriage has survived. <\/p>\n
