Ready to take a swing at golf?<\/p>\n
The Get Golf Ready Program at the Duke University Golf Club gives beginners a fun, low-pressure introduction to the game. Across five sessions, participants learn putting, chipping, bunker play, full swings, golf etiquette and the basics of playing on the course.<\/p>\n
The program<\/a> is offered multiple times each year, including in August, with discounted pricing for Duke staff and faculty and retirees. Clubs are available for participants who need them.<\/p>\n Classes, held from 5:30 to 7 p.m., are limited to 16 people and fill quickly. Duke staff and faculty can subscribe to the PERQs email list<\/a> to be among the first to hear when registration opens for the next session. <\/p>\n After completing Get Golf Ready, participants can continue building their skills by joining the Get Golf Ready League. The league meets once a week during the golf season for nine holes and offers a reduced playing rate for the league round.
