Apple has two substantially unique iPhone designs launching in the coming year: iPhone Ultra<\/a> this fall, and its 20th anniversary Pro models<\/a> next year. Leaker Fixed Focus Digital has just shared updates on both products.<\/p>\n iPhone Ultra gets encouraging update, while 20th anniversary report points to iPhone Air-inspired design<\/p>\n The years of Apple shipping iPhones that look nearly identical each year are over\u2014at least for now.<\/p>\n Recent design innovation kicked off with last year\u2019s bold iPhone 17 Pro design and the futuristic iPhone Air. But there are bigger changes coming both this fall and next.<\/p>\n This fall, the first foldable model will launch: iPhone Ultra<\/a>.<\/p>\n Weibo leaker Fixed Focus Digital shared an encouraging production update on the foldable over the weekend.<\/p>\n In his post<\/a>, he says there\u2019s been no delay to the iPhone Ultra. Though there was an issue scaling production initially, that has reportedly been resolved. And very recently, at the end of July, the production line setup was completed.<\/p>\n While a slightly delayed launch past September is still possible, as is limited supply, it sounds like iPhone Ultra should be unveiled in a matter of weeks<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a separate post<\/a>, the leaker shared an interesting update on next year\u2019s 20th anniversary iPhone. He says it:<\/p>\n maintains the thinness of iPhone Air<\/p>\n returns to glass construction<\/p>\n has an enlarged vapor chamber<\/p>\n This raises more questions than it answers. Prior reporting indicates this 20th anniversary design will apply to next year\u2019s Pro models<\/a>. But having an Air-like thinness wouldn\u2019t make sense for the Pro line. <\/p>\n Additionally, the reference to \u201cglass construction\u201d is unclear. Current Pro models use a mix of glass and aluminum, so it\u2019s possible nothing is changing in that regard. But rumors have hinted Apple will ship a design that uses more glass, so we might see bigger changes.<\/p>\n What do you make of these latest updates?
