The HRANA news agency reported that the one-year prison sentence handed to Amin Imanian, a Baha\u2019i citizen residing in Babol, was fully upheld by the Mazandaran Province Court of Appeals.<\/p>\n
According to information obtained by HRANA, Branch 9 of the Mazandaran Province Court of Appeals upheld Imanian\u2019s one-year prison sentence on charges of \u201cpropaganda activities against the regime.\u201d The ruling was communicated to him electronically on July 21.<\/p>\n
The Baha\u2019i citizen had previously been tried on the same charge by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Babol and sentenced to one year in prison.<\/p>\n
Amin Imanian is a former boxing champion in Mazandaran Province, as well as an official referee and coach with the National Boxing Federation.
