{"id":842711,"date":"2026-08-04T02:18:14","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T02:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/842711\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T02:18:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T02:18:14","slug":"nascar-squad-open-to-finding-the-next-svg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/842711\/","title":{"rendered":"NASCAR squad open to finding the next SVG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A NASCAR O\u2019Reilly Series outfit may be looking for the next Supercars star to take stockcar racing, with Jordan Anderson noting he is open to the potential of finding the next Shane van Gisbergen for his growing squad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anderson\u2019s eponymous team currently fields two full-time Chevrolets in the second-tier series for drivers Jeb Burton and Blaine Perkins, with a third rotating entry this year, which has featured Anderson himself, plus a cast including Ross Chastain and Hendrick Motorsports junior Rajah Curuth, amongst others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the past, the team has fielded cars and trucks for Tyler Reddick, Carson Hocevar, Ryan Newman, Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, Erik Jones, Josh Berry, and Katherine Legge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/v8-sleuth-magazine-subscription?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=buy-button&amp;utm_content=buy-button\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/sleuth-mag-subscription.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next season, NASCAR is expected to return to the Sonoma, Watkins Glen and COTA road courses, with the Chicago Street Circuit and a reprisal of the Naval Base Coronado on the cards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How these events fall against the Supercars calendar is yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou look at what Justin (Marks) and Trackhouse did in bringing SVG over,\u201d Anderson said on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dirtymomedia.com\/dalejrdownload\/episode\/289cbfa4\/jordan-anderson-stopped-driving-so-his-team-could-survive\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Business of Motorsport Podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIs there a guy that\u2019s running Supercars or maybe somebody\u2019s not in our NASCAR world that we could bring in for a couple of races?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBeing able to do just something different, I think, is something that we would have a lot of interest in next year and keeping it going that way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re in the throes of already putting together \u201927 \u2013 what does something like that look for your team?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow do you decide what races you\u2019re going to run?<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHaving your full-time cars, having your part-time car, whatever that looks like.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think now we\u2019re trying to start sooner than we have before \u2013 hey, let\u2019s not wait until November;
