{"id":843475,"date":"2026-08-04T18:10:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T18:10:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/843475\/"},"modified":"2026-08-04T18:10:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T18:10:13","slug":"long-serving-engineer-tom-mccullough-set-to-depart-aston-martin-at-the-end-of-2026-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/843475\/","title":{"rendered":"Long-serving engineer Tom McCullough set to depart Aston Martin at the end of 2026 season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Long-time Aston Martin engineer Tom McCullough is set to leave the British team at the end of the season, F1.com understands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">McCullough has spent more than a decade with the team through their various guises \u2013 Force India, Racing Point and now <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" data-f1rd-a7s-click=\"rich_text_atom_click\" data-f1rd-a7s-context=\"eyJhY3Rpb25UeXBlIjoiYXN0b25fbWFydGluX2xpbmtfY2xpY2tlZCIsImNsaWNrVGV4dCI6dHJ1ZSwicGF0aCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmZvcm11bGExLmNvbS9lbi90ZWFtcy9hc3Rvbi1tYXJ0aW4iLCJwYXRoVHlwZSI6ImludGVybmFsIn0=\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/teams\/aston-martin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aston Martin<\/a> \u2013 working in a variety of roles including focusing on trackside performance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">He was moved away from the F1 project into a leadership position in another arm of the business that focused on &#8220;the expansion of the team&#8217;s broader range of racing categories&#8221; at the start of 2025 as part of a wider senior leadership restructure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">His duties were taken on by <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" data-f1rd-a7s-click=\"rich_text_atom_click\" data-f1rd-a7s-context=\"eyJhY3Rpb25UeXBlIjoibWlrZV9rcmFja19saW5rX2NsaWNrZWQiLCJjbGlja1RleHQiOnRydWUsInBhdGgiOiJodHRwczovL3d3dy5mb3JtdWxhMS5jb20vZW4vbGF0ZXN0L3RhZ3MvbWlrZS1rcmFjay43dEFld3luS2hYSUJzV2RWMzJXZmdQIiwicGF0aFR5cGUiOiJpbnRlcm5hbCJ9\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/tags\/mike-krack.7tAewynKhXIBsWdV32WfgP\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Krack<\/a>, who assumed the role of Chief Trackside Officer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">It has now emerged McCullough will depart the Silverstone-based team, who are currently 10th in the Teams&#8217; Championship, at the end of the season.
