The Rodgers assault, launched on ESPN, included calling Fauci an \u201c<a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/aaron-rodgers-torches-tony-fauci-and-espn-while-appearing-on-espn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">absolute criminal<\/a>\u201d and repeatedly labeled Fauci an \u201cabsolute coward.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>At one point, Rodgers promoted a false conspiracy theory that Fauci\u2019s wife\u2019s sister is Ghislaine Maxwell.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Fauci\u2019s lawyer responded to Rodgers.<\/p>\n<p>Via Saad Yousuf of The Athletic, David Schertler said this via email: \u201cAaron Rodgers doesn\u2019t know what he\u2019s talking about. He <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7492089\/2026\/08\/04\/aaron-rodgers-pittsburgh-steelers-response-fauci-criticism\/?source=user_shared_article&amp;smid=ta-ios-share\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">should stick to football<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The other target of Rodgers\u2019s ire \u2014 ESPN \u2014 has repeatedly <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/espn-has-no-comment-on-aaron-rodgers-comments-on-espn-about-espn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">declined comment<\/a> on Rodgers\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n<p>And so, as to Fauci, the ball returns to Rodgers\u2019s court. It remains to be seen whether he continues the dialogue at a league-required press conference, or during a resumption of his habit of appearing on McAfee\u2019s show on a regular basis. <\/p>\n<p>Last year, Rodgers stopped his Tuesday visits.
