{"id":844271,"date":"2026-08-05T10:06:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T10:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/844271\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T10:06:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T10:06:12","slug":"first-support-category-confirmed-for-bathurst-6-hour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/844271\/","title":{"rendered":"First support category confirmed for Bathurst 6 Hour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">THE first support category piece of Bathurst\u2019s Easter enduro for 2027 is in place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Improved Production has been announced as a support category to the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, to be held over the Easter weekend of March 26-28 next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Competitors from state-based Improved Production competitions around the country will assemble to compete in the marquee IPRA Bathurst Cup, which returns to the Bathurst 6 Hour event after last appearing in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expressions of interest for entries will open later this month, with a grid of 55 cars expected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entry fees for the IPRA Bathurst Cup are $3,500 including one practice session, one qualifying session, four races on the Mount Panorama circuit and a competitor marquee allocation. Competitors must hold a full Motorsport Australia Circuit Race Licence to participate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the IPRA field last took on the Mountain, all three races and the IPRA Bathurst Cup were won by SA-based Holden Monaro driver, Adam Poole.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/v8-sleuth-magazine-subscription?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=buy-button&amp;utm_content=buy-button\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/sleuth-mag-subscription.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accomplished grass roots motorsport operator, Terry Denovan, will manage expressions of interest, entries and other event logistics for the category\u2019s Bathurst showing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cImproved Production has built a terrific relationship with the Bathurst 6 Hour promoters, ARG, over recent years,\u201d said Brett Watters, national administrator of IPRA Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe bring a huge and diverse grid to Bathurst, and our competitors consistently put on a fantastic show for spectators at the circuit and those watching across Australia through television and live streaming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMount Panorama is one of the most challenging and respected circuits in the country.
