\n\tPolice reportedly responded to Perez Hilton<\/a>\u2018s home in Miami after the celebrity gossip blogger\u00a0appeared to be harming himself on a TikTok livestream.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn graphic clips reposted on social media, Hilton, appearing manic, could be seen in the livestream covered in blood, using an object to cut himself repeatedly.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Miami-Dade County Sheriff\u2019s Office told Newsweek<\/a> in a statement that deputies responded to Hilton\u2019s home after the office received \u201cmultiple calls\u201d about a person livestreaming acts of self-harm. After authorities confirmed Hilton was alone inside the home and spoke with family members at the scene, deputies decided to \u201ctactically disengage while continuing to monitor the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cUnless there is an immediate threat to others, slowing the situation and utilizing crisis intervention techniques can reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLocal news station NBC6<\/a>, which had reporters at the scene, later reported that a man, believed to be Hilton, was seen being taken away in an ambulance. The sheriff\u2019s office also confirmed to TMZ<\/a> that \u201cthe individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter has also reached out to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff\u2019s Office for comment on the incident involving Hilton, in addition to his personal rep.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this year, Hilton shared in a lengthy Instagram video that he was hospitalized for three weeks <\/a>after initially battling the flu before developing \u201can ulcer, and then a perforation, and then Sepsis,\u201d he said at the time.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Sepsis just kept working and my body kept falling apart,\u201d Hilton explained in the video in March. \u201cThen one night with rapid response came \u2019cause my heart got out of control. They had to put me on heart medications. And then I developed another infection in the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cIt was just such a slow process. I mean, two weeks of just sickness and then another week of getting better before I was released. And that last week was hell because I had already been in the hospital two weeks by then. I was like, \u2018I just wanna go home. I just want to be with my babies.\u2019\u201d Perez is a single father of three children.<\/p>\n

\n\tOnce he was released from the hospital and sent back home, Hilton said he had time to reflect and came to the realization \u201cthat God presented Himself to me\u201d during the challenging experience.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt was real and this has been life-changing. I\u2019m so grateful,\u201d he added at the time. \u201cI\u2019m excited to start taking the kids to church every week. And to just know that God is real. \u2026 I don\u2019t have to hope to believe.
