Gupta plans to take some time off before her next career move. Peak XV confirmed that she will transition out of the firm in the coming months by mutual agreement.<\/p>\n

Confirming the development, Gupta told Inc42, \u201cIt\u2019s been an incredible 5 years at Peak XV. I\u2019ve decided to move on\u2026 going to take some time (off).\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a spokesperson of Peak XV said, \u201cKriti and Peak XV have mutually agreed that she will be transitioning from the firm in the coming months. We sincerely thank Kriti for her contributions and the value she has brought to Peak XV during her time with us. We wish her continued success in the next chapter of her career.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gupta joined Sequoia Capital in 2021, before its India and Southeast Asia business was rebranded as Peak XV Partners in 2023. During her tenure, she focused on early-stage investments, primarily in the consumer sector.<\/p>\n
Gupta\u2019s exit comes about six months after Peak XV parted ways with three of its MD<\/a>s \u2014 Ashish Agrawal, Ishaan Mittal, and Tejeshwi Sharma.\u00a0<\/p>\n The trio subsequently launched Mettle Capital and are looking to raise between $350 Mn and $400 Mn for their maiden fund.<\/p>\n Following those departures, Peak XV elevated Abhishek Mohan to general partner and Saipriya Sarangan to COO.<\/p>\n At the time, the firm said the leadership changes would strengthen its capabilities in an \u201cera of unprecedented change driven by AI\u201d, adding that it planned to expand its bench of AI-native investors and go-to-market capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n Gupta\u2019s departure extends a leadership reshuffle that has been underway at Peak XV since 2024. Over the past two years, several senior leaders, including Shailesh Lakhani, Harshjit Sethi, Abheek Anand, Agrawal, Mittal, and Sharma, have exited the firm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
