{"id":847018,"date":"2026-08-07T17:22:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T17:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/847018\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T17:22:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T17:22:22","slug":"former-calgary-flames-d-miromanov-signs-two-year-deal-in-khl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/847018\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Calgary Flames D Miromanov signs two-year deal in KHL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/calgary-flames\/20\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/calgary-flames\/20\" target=\"_blank\">Calgary Flames<\/a> defenceman Daniil Miromanov will be continuing his career overseas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Miromanov, an unrestricted free agent, signed a two-year deal with the KHL\u2019s SKA St. Petersburg on Friday after spending the past five seasons in the NHL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 29-year-old blueliner was traded to the Flames from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/vegas-golden-knights\/54\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/vegas-golden-knights\/54\" target=\"_blank\">Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> during the 2023-24 season. He appeared in a career-high 44 games in 2024-25, but played in just one game with the Flames last season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He posted 11 goals and 38 points in 66 games with the AHL\u2019s Calgary Wranglers this past season while playing out the last of a two-year deal with a $1.25 million cap hit. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Miromanov made his NHL debut with the Golden Knights during the 2020-21 season but struggled to find a consistent place in the lineup before eventually being included as part of the team\u2019s package for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/noah-hanifin\/8478396\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/noah-hanifin\/8478396\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Hanifin<\/a> at the trade deadline in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Moscow native has seven goals and 23 points in 94 career NHL games.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Former Calgary Flames defenceman Daniil Miromanov will be continuing his career overseas.
