Fast forward to 2026, and the landscape has changed dramatically. Mercedes lead the standings on 379 points after 11 rounds, with Ferrari second on 307 and McLaren a distant third on 220.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Mercedes is the season’s biggest gainers, leaping from third in 2025 to commanding leaders in 2026. Ferrari have also improved their relative position, closing the gap to the front significantly.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
McLaren, by contrast, has fallen hardest, dropping from runaway leaders to 159 points adrift of Mercedes. Andrea Stella admitted the team paid “a heavy price” for their 2025 title double.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Williams has slipped from fifth to ninth, while Alpine have surged from bottom to sixth. Aston Martin’s decline has also been dramatic, plummeting from eighth to 10th with a solitary point.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
