{"id":849124,"date":"2026-08-09T13:08:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T13:08:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/849124\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T13:08:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T13:08:12","slug":"who-is-the-winner-of-masterchef-australia-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/849124\/","title":{"rendered":"Who is the winner of MasterChef Australia 2026?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/masterchef-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MasterChef Australia 2026<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/when-is-the-masterchef-2026-finale\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grand Finale<\/a> is finally here, with contestants <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-petro-singer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Petro <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/masterchef-2026-vinnie-final\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vinnie <\/a>in the Top 2, battling it out for the top prize.<\/p>\n<p>While the hit reality cooking show is known for its wholesome nature, this season brought its fair share of high-pressure moments and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-australia-annabel-laura-sharrad-favouritism\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fan complaints <\/a>ranging from hygiene concerns and budget cuts to elimination outrage and backlash over judge decisions. <\/p>\n<p>Although <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/masterchef-australia-2026-romance-annabel-vinnie\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">love <\/a>was still very much in the air this year, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-dot-mchugh-jackie-yu-school\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">contestants were shown supporting each other<\/a> through thick and thin each episode, so much so that it sparked rumours of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-alyona-petro-secret-romance\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">secret romance<\/a> brewing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-annabel-secret-romance-petro-alyona\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">between two of the contestants.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>In the end, the Grand Finale finally aired on Sunday, August 9, with the result unknown to even the winner themselves until that evening. <\/p>\n<p>MasterChef Australia has been doing pre-recorded dual or multiple winner endings for quite some time now as a way to protect the result from spoilers and keep the magic alive. <\/p>\n<p>If you thought you were feeling stressed, imagine how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-alyona-petro-secret-romance\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Petro <\/a>and Vinnie felt! <\/p>\n<p>So, without further ado, here is the winner of MasterChef Australia 2026, with the crowned chef telling WHO their plans for the grand prize. <\/p>\n<p>Who is the winner of MasterChef Australia 2026?<\/p>\n<p>The winner of MasterChef Australia 2026 is Vinnie.<\/p>\n<p>For the Grand Finale, the contestants went head-to-head in two challenges \u2013 a Mystery Box challenge and a pressure test.<\/p>\n<p>In the first challenge, the contestants were given 75 minutes to prepare a dish that celebrated the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-meghan-markle-episode-ratings\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">guest judges who appeared throughout the season.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>In the final challenge, Vinnie and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.com.au\/entertainment\/reality-tv\/masterchef-2026-luke-secret-romance-rumours\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Petro <\/a>were tasked with a five-hour pressure test, replicating renowned pastry chef Cherish Finden\u2019s extravagant Chinese Afternoon Tea. Credit: Channel 10. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018I was running on empty by the end.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Both contestants revealed that the Grand Finale challenge was one of the \u201chardest things\u201d they had to do in the competition. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pressure test was really intense,\u201d Petro said. \u201cReading a recipe and cooking for that long, after backing up straight from the semi-final, was probably the hardest thing I had to do in the competition. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was running on empty by the end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vinnie seconded this sentiment, describing it as such a \u201cmental battle\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pressure was so full on during the finale,\u201d he said. \u201cNot only had everything we\u2019d been practicing and working for led up to these last moments, but having all my friends and some of my family there just added to the pressure. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to make them prouder than ever, while trying to stay as calm as possible. It was just as much a mental battle as it was physical.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vinnie reveals plans for $250,000 prize money<\/p>\n<p>Vinnie told WHO their plans with the $250,000 cash prize, revealing some exciting collaborations for the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I\u2019ve always been taught to share when you have things to share,\u201d he said. \u201cSo first I\u2019d make sure those close to me were in a good place. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d love to move out with my partner Bridge and put some towards a place together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vinnie added: \u201cUltimately, I\u2019d love to open up a little place of my own, whether that\u2019s paninis or a wine bar.
