Newcomer Bukky Oboye led the way in scoring for the Tigers with 17 points and hauled down 8 rebounds. Troy transfer Thomas Dowd had another solid performance with 8 points and 18 rebounds. Overton scored 11 points in the game on 4 of 6 shooting and connected on all three of his free attempts. Head coach Steven Pearl praised KK Mega Superbet in limiting the Tigers to just one shot possession early in the game. Turnovers were also an issue for Auburn<\/a> with the team committing 22 versus just 14 for their opponent.<\/p>\n “They did a good job of limiting us to one-shot possessions early in the game. They had a chance to win the game with the final shot, but Caleb Wilson was unable to connect on a three-point attempt to make the final 70-68. Auburn was again without Narcisse Ngoy, Mantas Rubstavicius, George Kimble III, and Owen Freeman.
