Most consumer DNA kits work a bit like skimming a handful of pages from a novel and trying to guess the plot. They sample a tiny number of genetic markers that can reveal ancestry and some health information, but much of the story remains unread.<\/p>\n Whole genome sequencing, by contrast, reads every chapter.
