Domestic violence victim-survivor Chloe Wright is furious her former partner Guy Leslie Cramp was jailed for 15 months on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. 9News

The magistrate only saw a still before he jailed Guy Leslie Cramp for 15 months on Tuesday, leaving Wright furious, but the Perth mother wants you to see it in full.

The vision from a camera in their own backyard shows Cramp punching Wright multiple times before grabbing her by the neck and slamming her head into a pool fence.

His 15-month jail sentence is beyond belief for Wright.

“It’s just – Australia has so far to come with domestic violence – that is just so bad,” she told 9News.

The magistrate wasn’t shown the CCTV by police prosecutors, who only provided a still image.

“Everybody was able to see this footage except the one person that mattered was not able to see that,” Wright said.

She says the extent of her injuries also weren’t detailed to the magistrate.

"Chloe

Fearing for her life and the safety of her three children, Chloe Wright fled overseas after her ex, a serial domestic violence offender, was released on bail. 9News

“I have to have a rhinoplasty and a septoplasty and I’m on the waitlist at Royal Perth,” she said

“None of that was brought up by the prosecution.”

The court heard Cramp had violently offended against two other partners in recent years, including striking one in the eye socket with a phone, chasing her and pulling her by the clothes and hair.

He punched another woman in the face.

"Wright

Wright was left with black eyes and a broken nose and says she struggles to breathe properly now. Nine / Supplied

While on bail for the assault on Wright, Cramp cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet, sparking a 12-hour manhunt, adding an extra eight months to his sentence.

Wright wants police to make sure the court is made fully aware of what happened to her and to lodge an appeal.

“I’ve gone through so much stress – through the court process, him receiving bail – maybe I just shouldn’t have come forward, what was the point?” she said.
