UFC 330 goes down this weekend, and with a blockbuster main event, an interesting co-main event and plenty more to discuss further down the card, we take a look at some of the props to watch heading into Philadelphia\u2019s main event.<\/p>\n

UFC 330 Main Event – Props to Watch
\nIslam Makhachev to Win via Submission +210<\/p>\n

The UFC<\/a> 330 main event sees the pound-for-pound number one fighter on the planet, Islam Makhachev<\/a>, return to action to defend his welterweight title. He takes on the in-form, confident Ian Machado Garry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Makhachev is undefeated in his last 16 fights, winning seven by submission. Many see this one as a striker vs grappler, with Garry preferring life on the feet and Makhachev favouring the ground.<\/p>\n

We know that Makhachev is an elite grappler and won the belt by taking Jack Della Maddalena<\/a> down, controlling him for 19:10 of their 25-minute fight and ultimately stealing his will. Could he do the same to Garry?<\/p>\n

Although Garry\u2019s takedown defence sits at a very respectable 80%, his lone career loss saw him controlled for 11:41 by Shavkat Rakhmonov. It was the control time that won Rakhmonov that fight as Garry outstruck him 103 to 65.<\/p>\n

If Makhachev can get Garry to the ground, expect him to search for submissions.<\/p>\n

Ian Garry to win via Decision +450<\/p>\n

Could the Irish get one back? Khabib Nurmagomedov put Russia 1-0 when he submitted Conor McGregor<\/a> in 2018, and Garry will look to get one back for his country at UFC<\/a> 330.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Garry is on a strong run of form, having defeated both Carlos Prates<\/a> and, more recently, Belal Muhammad<\/a>. The win over Prates in particular has aged extremely well as the Brazilian is looking like a killer in recent times.<\/p>\n

Should Garry win, it\u2019s unlikely that he\u2019ll finish Makhachev as he hasn\u2019t recorded a finish since 2023 when he TKO\u2019d Daniel Rodriguez. Since then, he\u2019s won five, all via decision.<\/p>\n

If he can stop the takedown of Makhachev, which he showed he\u2019s capable of doing as we saw against Muhammad, he must use his length, jab and activity to outpoint the champion.<\/p>\n

Islam Makhachev to win via Decision +135<\/p>\n

Could Ian Garry\u2019s \u2018worst case scenario<\/a>\u2019 come true? Speaking on the High Performance podcast, the Irishman stated that he didn\u2019t want to be held down for 25 minutes. There\u2019s a chance that this happens, however.<\/p>\n

Against JDM, Makhachev dominated the Australian by simply controlling him and not doing a tonne of damage.
