Adam Reynolds<\/a> has offered a bizarre response to questions over whether he will be afforded a farewell game in the NRL<\/a> before retiring.<\/p>\n

The veteran Broncos<\/a> halfback will hang up his boots at season\u2019s end, but may have already played his last game.<\/p>\n

Reynolds was knocked out against the Knights in round 22<\/a> and missed the weekend\u2019s loss to the Dolphins, but was able to return for this week\u2019s game against the Warriors.<\/p>\n

But his name was absent when Michael Maguire<\/a> released his team sheet on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Reynolds fronted media at a club event on Tuesday night and was asked why he isn\u2019t playing this week.<\/p>\n

He was short in his replies, denying he is carrying an injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing, really. It\u2019s a good opportunity for some young fellas to get a go and build on some combinations for the future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNah, I feel all right. I feel good. Don\u2019t know (if I\u2019ll play next week). We\u2019ll keep you guessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked by The Courier Mail, Maguire said Reynolds is battling a calf issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t train (on Tuesday) because he just can\u2019t,\u201d Maguire said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has some issues with his calves and nerves and it\u2019s just bothering him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Broncos have three games remaining following Saturday\u2019s clash with the Warriors. They will miss the finals in what has been a dismal defence of their 2025 NRL premiership.<\/p>\n

Maguire says the club wants Reynolds to have a farewell game at Suncorp Stadium, which will have to be in round 26 against Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Reynolds, though, says he isn\u2019t fussed whether he gets one or not.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there\u2019s a farewell there\u2019s a farewell. If not, I\u2019m happy with the career I\u2019ve had,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s other players in the team who probably deserve it more than I do, and they\u2019ve been a big part of the club longer than I have.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery game is important, not just your last game… we\u2019ll keep you guessing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Broncos are also set to lose Payne Haas (Rabbitohs) and Gehemat Shibasaki (Bears) at season\u2019s end, while Corey Jensen has already medically retired.<\/p>\n

Reynolds has played 323 NRL games across the Rabbitohs and Broncos to date.<\/p>\n
