(Photo credit: WLOS Staff)<\/p>\n The gallery\u2019s exhibition committee regularly looks for ways to get people more excited about visiting and experiencing the artwork.<\/p>\n \u201cWe refresh the art on all the walls every three months,\u201d Kluska said. \u201cIt\u2019s all original art.\u201d<\/p>\n And while using golf to bring people into an art gallery wasn’t necessarily something they expected, the gallery\u2019s leaders say they\u2019re having fun with the idea.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s interesting and we’re having fun with it,\u201d Fetty said. \u201cThey have to have something to do when they’re not on the golf course, right?\u201dPGA Tour expected to bring millions in spending<\/p>\n Explore Asheville President and CEO Vic Isley says the economic impact of the tournament could extend well beyond the golf course.<\/p>\n The four-day Biltmore Championship Asheville is expected to generate upwards of $10 million in direct spending in the community during its first year.<\/p>\n She says part of what makes the PGA Tour\u2019s return exciting is its involvement in the broader Asheville community.<\/p>\n The tour plans to award grants to nonprofits around the beginning of September. Fifty area nonprofits are already participating in the PGA Tour\u2019s Birdies for Charity program, which allows organizations to fundraise through the PGA Tour platform and receive matching dollars.<\/p>\n Isley says golf fans could also have an impact on Asheville long after the tournament ends.<\/p>\n Golf enthusiasts, she said, can be influential when it comes to travel decisions.<\/p>\n PGA TOUR EVENT COMING TO WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA IN 2026<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThey really do influence where other people want to go,\u201d Isley said.<\/p>\n Visitors attending the Biltmore Championship Asheville will have opportunities to dine at local restaurants and shop at independent retailers throughout the area.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really not just about what\u2019s on the course but what\u2019s happening all around the community,\u201d Isley said.<\/p>\n For the Asheville Gallery of Art, that could mean an opportunity to introduce more visitors to the city\u2019s arts scene \u2014 and turn some of those visitors into customers.<\/p>\n Visit the Asheville Gallery of Art<\/p>\n The gallery hosts a reception for its artists of the month on the first Friday of each month.
