A wrist injury has led to him missing several tournaments, including Wimbledon. <\/p>\n<p>There was optimism about a US Open return, but his recent withdrawal from the Cincinnati Open set off alarm bells for some. Whether he will be able to play is one of the biggest questions in tennis right now.<\/p>\n<p>While he may not be able to participate competitively to get back up to speed, Alcaraz is still training. And to get back in time, he\u2019s been training in Murcia, Spain. <\/p>\n<p>A video of him in training hit social media this week, and it has fans divided. Some think he\u2019s on the way to recovery, while others have observed signs which suggest otherwise. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh we\u2019re not coming back this year\u2026 Let\u2019s try again in 2027,\u201d one pessimistic fan commented. \u201cI can see why they pulled out of Cincy. He\u2019s not ready yet,\u201d a different fan added. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at that wrapping on the arm and wrist. Look at the tentative third forehand swing, not to mention the clunky backhand. I don\u2019t see how he plays the US Open,\u201d read a comment from another doubter.<\/p>\n<p>There are those who believe, too. One fan said, \u201cGoing smooth on that recovery. Favourite hairstyle so far too, Carlos.\u201d Another added, \u201cHe\u2019s got that wrist taped up, but he looks ready for the US Open to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>        When do you think Carlos Alcaraz will return to tennis? <\/p>\n<p class=\"grv-talking-point__subtitle\">Alcaraz has not played since April\u2026<\/p>\n<p>     <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/breaking-7-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-372022\"\/>   <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t look to me like he\u2019s had any injury setbacks\u2026 I think all they want to do is make sure he\u2019s ready to handle 5 setters if he does come back at USO,\u201d said a post that summed up the positive views.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, only the Spanish sensation and his team know if he\u2019ll be able to make his return for the US Open.
