Aston Villa impressed despite defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup last night, and Unai Emery\u2019s side are still looking to strengthen in the transfer market.<\/p>\n

Villa have held talks over signing right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham, with a \u00a325m fee discussed, according to the Athletic.<\/a><\/p>\n

Villa are also keen on signing Joao Palhinha on loan. The midfielder spent last season at Tottenham. Florian Plettenberg <\/a>reports that Bayern Munich want to sell the 31-year-old.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli heading to Galatasaray?<\/p>\n

Turkish clubs have been active in the transfer window and Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is the subject of a \u00a338.5m bid from Galatasaray.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reports that the 25-year-old Brazil winger is top of Galatasaray\u2019s list of targets.<\/p>\n

Arsenal have signed a winger in Christos Tzolis this summer, and they were then linked with Vinicius Jr.<\/p>\n

The Athletic reported that Arsenal would be open to selling Martinelli if they received the right offer. <\/p>\n

The Gunners sold Leandro Trossard to Besiktas earlier in the window, and Mikel Arteta remains interested in adding a marquee attacking player to his line-up. <\/p>\n

Manchester City are in talks with Al Qadsiah to sell Tijjani Reijnders to the Saudi Arabian club.<\/p>\n

The Netherlands international might leave the Etihad Stadium after just a year as City\u2019s midfield overhaul to being the Enzo Maresca era looks set to continue.<\/p>\n

Reijnders, who had also attracted interest from Nottingham Forest, could command a fee of around \u00a350m from Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah, who are coached by former Liverpool, Leicester and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.<\/p>\n

Reijnders, who cost City \u00a346.5m when he joined from AC Milan last summer, has scored seven goals in 50 games for them.<\/p>\n

But he lost his place in the starting XI as the 2025\/26 season wore on, with former manager Pep Guardiola preferring to pair captain Bernardo Silva with Rodri.<\/p>\n

And while Silva is gone and Rodri, who is a target for Barcelona, could follow, City have signed Elliot Anderson from Forest for \u00a3116m.<\/p>\n

They are also interested in other midfielders, including Morocco\u2019s Ayyoub Bouaddi and Chelsea\u2019s Enzo Fernandez, and could allow Reijnders to leave.<\/p>\n

In other news, the Uefa-led alliance is exploring plans for the Fifa presidency to be rotated between the confederations so as to reduce the power of the office, should Gianni Infantino eventually be forced out.<\/p>\n

The top level of the game remains locked in a civil war from the Fifa Forward Enterprise plan, that has since evolved into an attritional conflict to get the Swiss-Italian official out. As Infantino digs in, however, the Uefa and their allies have already been making plans for the future.<\/p>\n

The Independent\u2019s chief football writer Miguel Delaney understands that Spurs are getting closer to an agreement for \u00a365m plus add-ons.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian signed for Man City from French side Troyes for a little over \u00a330m in the summer of 2024 and is still only 22 years old. <\/p>\n
