Maisy Gibson will captain the Tasmanian Tigers in the upcoming WNCL season, taking over from Elyse Villani who will miss the campaign for the birth of her first child.<\/p>\n

Cricket Tasmania announced Gibson as the eighth WNCL captain of the Tigers, with Villani expected to return for the 2027\/28 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIm honoured to be given the opportunity to captain Tasmania and represent an organisation that means so much to me,\u201d Gibson said.<\/p>\n

Gibson moved from New South Wales to Tasmania in 2019 and quickly became a key figure in the Tigers lineup.<\/p>\n

She won the Veronica Pyke Medal as Female Tigers Player of the Year in her debut season and claimed the honour again in 2024\/25.<\/p>\n
