In its first Major League Baseball broadcast, Netflix debuted a scorebug that drew polarizing reactions on Opening Night. Many viewers complained that the font displaying the pitcher, batter, and pitch count was too tiny and very difficult to read.

Well, Netflix heard the criticism loud and clear, and changed up its scorebug in a massive way for the Field of Dreams Game on Thursday night between the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins in Dyersville, Iowa.

Take a look at the much new, much larger scorebug that the streaming service debuted on Thursday night:

Netflix heard the critics on the Opening Day scorebug… and decided to just make an absolutely enormous one.

Here’s how it looks as Kyle Schwarber hits a leadoff homer in the Field of Dreams Game. ⚾️📺pic.twitter.com/NH1cQe58Td https://t.co/WHdUWyF0pY

The reactions to the new scorebug have been mixed, with some fans liking it and some fans hating it.

That’s a score beetle sheesh https://t.co/DLam7QsAqp

This one’s really good, assuming they add ABS challenges to the bug for other games (not available for Field of Dreams)

No complaints here https://t.co/YDuDaAhK9Q

Thank god I have two monitors, scorebug needed its own https://t.co/kBG4Umvl6H

Wow @netflix… maybe dial down the scorebug

The Netflix scorebug is somehow getting worse

Dare I say… @netflix has the best score bug? Clean, easy to read, shows which bases are covered, etc. #FieldOfDreams #Phillies pic.twitter.com/Y1yaJwQouf

Some viewers also noted how much they preferred the Field of Dreams scorebug from Fox, the game’s broadcaster in 2021 and 2022.

Compare the Netflix scorebug to the one Fox used for the Field of Dreams Game. ⚾️📺 #MLB pic.twitter.com/KmUOt5d19C https://t.co/nwz7RhJGqJ

— Awful Announcing (@awfulannouncing) August 14, 2026

This is an improvement over the opening day scorebug, but you couldn’t make a Field of Dreams-themed scorebug like Fox did? https://t.co/CsO9MwQCva

Netflix, which also streamed the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby, won’t broadcast another MLB event until Opening Night in 2027.

So, we’ll have to wait until March 24, 2027, to see if Netflix makes another adjustment to the MLB scorebug. Netflix is in year one of a three-year media rights deal with MLB.
