After a months-long and hugely successful run on the Billboard charts, Tame Impala and Jennie\u2019s<\/a> collaboration \u201cDracula\u201d seems to have finally reached its zenith, at least on most rosters. In many cases, \u201cDracula\u201d has nowhere left to go, as it has already climbed to No. 1.<\/p>\n The tune has dominated tallies that focus on rock, dance and pop music, but it seems it is not quite finished with its ascent. This week, \u201cDracula\u201d reaches a new peak on only one of more than a dozen Billboard rosters where it appears, and as it steps up once more, Jennie ties with several other K-pop superstars and makes history.<\/p>\n Jennie Reaches a New Adult Contemporary Chart Peak<\/p>\n \u201cDracula\u201d<\/a> rises on the Adult Contemporary chart<\/a> this week, one of Billboard\u2019s radio rankings focused on pop music. The tally measures the songs that rack up the largest total number of audience impressions via radio stations throughout the United States that play adult contemporary music \u2013 more \u201cmature\u201d pop. The tune steps up three spaces from No. 19 to No. 16, establishing a new all-time high.<\/p>\n Jennie Joins Several K-Pop Favorites in the Same Spot<\/p>\n There are not many tunes that can be classified as K-pop, or even connected to artists typically associated with the genre, that have reached the Adult Contemporary chart. Only about a dozen have done so, and amazingly, No. 16 seems to be a particularly common stopping point.<\/p>\n Half of the tracks connected to K-pop artists that have ever appeared on the Adult Contemporary tally have peaked at No. 16, a group that now includes \u201cDracula.\u201d That roundup also features BTS\u2019s \u201cDynamite,\u201d \u201cMy Universe\u201d by Coldplay and BTS and \u201cSwim\u201d by the same South Korean septet, \u201cPriceless\u201d by Maroon 5 featuring Lisa and \u201cApt.\u201d by Ros\u00e9 \u2013 yet another Blackpink singer \u2013 and Bruno Mars.<\/p>\n Jennie Ties for the Third-Highest K-Pop Hit on the Chart<\/p>\n As \u201cDracula\u201d rises three pegs and settles at No. 16, it ties those aforementioned smashes as the third-highest-charting hit connected to a K-pop artist in the history of the Adult Contemporary ranking. Only a very few songs have climbed higher. <\/p>\n Just weeks ago, \u201cGolden,\u201d<\/a> taken from KPop Demon Hunters, sat in the runner-up rung. The Grammy- and Oscar-winning smash was never able to best Alex Warren\u2019s \u201cOrdinary,\u201d one of the longest-running No. 1s of all time, and stalled at No. 2.<\/p>\n \u201cGolden\u201d stands out as the only K-pop-connected top 10 in Adult Contemporary chart history. Blackpink star Lisa\u2019s solo \u201cMoonlit Floor (Kiss Me)\u201d also beats \u201cDracula,\u201d but not by much. The cut rose to No. 15, one space above her own \u201cPriceless\u201d with Maroon 5 and several other K-pop favorites.<\/p>\n Jennie Holds at No. 1 on Six Billboard Charts<\/p>\n \u201cDracula\u201d does not hit a new peak on any other Billboard rankings this week, but it remains at its all-time high on several rosters. The collaboration holds at No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, Hot Rock Songs, Hot Alternative Songs, Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs and Dance Streaming Songs charts.<\/p>\n Jennie Nearly Rules the Radio Songs Ranking<\/p>\n \u201cDracula\u201d also keeps at its all-time high of No. 2 on the Radio Songs chart, the broadest of Billboard\u2019s airplay tallies. The collaboration still sits one rung away from the summit after 18 weeks on the ranking, blocked from ruling by \u201cRisk It All\u201d<\/a> by Bruno Mars, which vaults to the peak position. If \u201cDracula\u201d can eventually find its way to No. 1, Jennie would score only the second K-pop leader, after \u201cGolden.\u201d<\/p>\n
