Raceway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Against a staunch field, including Christopher Bell, SVG\u2019s time aboard the Spire Motorsports #7 Chevrolet Silverado was 0.14sec faster than series front-runner Kaden Honeycutt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Driving one of Spire\u2019s full-time entries for the first time in the class, backed by Hendrickcars.com, van Gisbergen was the second-to-last runner to set a qualifying lap in the session.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/v8-sleuth-magazine-subscription?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=buy-button&amp;utm_content=buy-button\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sleuth-mag-subscription.jpg\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p week and these guys helped me get comfortable and it\u2019s pretty amazing to do that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m stoked, see how it goes in the race\u2026 Man, I don\u2019t know what to say \u2013 that\u2019s awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When pressed on what is behind his oval track improvement, the answer was simple.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI mean, it\u2019s just time, just getting used to things, and these things are pretty similar to a cup car, I think, so it does translate and help me, so yeah, it\u2019s worth doing this and can\u2019t thank those guys enough for having me and.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHopefully we have a good race tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier in practice, he set the 15th-fastest time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To date in his stock car racing career, he has six Cup Series poles and has also topped qualifying six times in the second-tier O\u2019Reilly Series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between those two classes, he has 14 wins to his credit, all on road or street courses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to today, van Gisbergen has four starts in the NASCAR Truck Series, with a best finish of third \u2013 earlier this year at Watkins Glen, and last time out at North Wilkesboro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsequently, in Cup Series practice, he logged the 22nd-fastest time before qualifying 31st.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Truck Series race is scheduled to start at 9:30am AEST today.<\/p>\n<p>The next Castrol Supercars throwback livery?<\/p>\n<p>CASTROL have some fantastic liveries
