Charlie Stevens leaves Spurs amid rising NBA executive career <\/p>\n Charlie Stevens is a homegrown executive with the San Antonio Spurs, as he spent his entire five-year NBA career climbing the team’s front office.<\/p>\n He originally joined the franchise fresh out of Clark University in 2021 as an entry-level operations assistant and was entirely developed by their internal scouting team.<\/p>\n Over the next five seasons, the Spurs promoted him to Grassroots Scouting Coordinator before eventually elevating him to the Director of Grassroots Scouting role last year.<\/p>\n Stevens will be joining a UConn team fresh off a run to the National Championship game. The Huskies advanced to the Final Four and played in the 2026 NCAA National Championship game, where they ultimately finished as runners-up after a 69-63 loss to the Michigan Wolverines.<\/p>\n Beyond Stevens, the Spurs have embraced several key departures to their coaching staff.
