Brady (18-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) revealed that he was contacted for a potential fight with Machado Garry (16-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) twice, but neither materialized. The Philadelphia native emerged as a top contender after dominating and submitting ex-welterweight champion Leon Edwards in the UFC Fight Night 255 headliner<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n He is eager to compete.<\/p>\n “I got a call from my manager right around International Fight week so, at the end of June timeframe about me and Ian fighting in Chicago,” Brady said on his Instagram (h\/t Championship Rounds<\/a>). “I said yes. Didn’t hear anything for weeks. I’m assuming the UFC moved on. Recently, they hit us up and said me and Ian, main event in Vancouver. I said yes immediately. Immediately.<\/p>\n “Yes, let’s go. I’ve been wanting to fight since May and these are the only ones I’ve been offered. I said yes twice. Now, I don’t know why Ian’s f*cking dragging his feet or whatever he was doing and now they put in (Reinier De Ridder) and ‘Fluffy’ (Alexander Hernandez). Now once again, we’re sitting and waiting.
