\n\tRosie O\u2019Donnell took over Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> Live last night as guest host and used the opportunity to take aim at her long-time nemesis, Donald Trump<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf you thought the president hated Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a> when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel?\u201d O\u2019Donnell declared as she kicked off Monday night\u2019s episode, her first in a four-night stand as guest host. \u201cBuckle up, people!\u00a0Buckle up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe explained that Trump\u2019s reign has been so bad it forced her to vacate the country<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve been living in Ireland for the past two years because of Mango Mussolini,\u201d she said. \u201cI read that Project 2025 and said, \u2018Gotta get myself out of here!\u2019 And I decided to go to Ireland where people are driven to drink regardless of who\u2019s running their country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe explained how her child responded to learning of their impending move. \u201cThey went to school and proceeded to tell their entire class, \u2018I\u2019m very sorry. I won\u2019t be able to graduate sixth grade with you. I\u2019m being forced to move to another country because the president of the United States hates my mother,’\u201d O\u2019Donnell recalled. \u201c\u2018But in all fairness, I believe my mother hates him more.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump has disliked O\u2019Donnell for decades, starting when she mocked his bankruptcy as host on The View in 2006. Although the host never mentioned him by name during her monologue, she did look at the camera at one point and quip, \u201cHi! I know you\u2019re watching!\u201d She concluded the monologue by noting, \u201cRight now he\u2019s in the White House crying because I haven\u2019t mentioned him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLater during the show, O\u2019Donnell paid tribute<\/a> to Hayden Panettiere, who died<\/a> over the weekend. She recalled how the actress had appeared on The Rosie O\u2019Donnell Show multiple times. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m just heartbroken over the passing of Hayden Panettiere last night,\u201d O\u2019Donnell said. \u201cShe was on my show many times as a little girl, and I got to know her as a grown woman. And she was so brave talking about mental health before people were really ready to hear about it, and very sad. My love to her family and friends, and she will be missed. Godspeed, Hayden.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this summer Jimmy Kimmel announced a series of guest hosts to take over for him while he took a break. \u201cI hope you\u2019re paying attention this summer because I will be taking the next two months off,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cThis time voluntarily. But we have assembled a potent group of hosts to fill in for me, beginning with Tiffany Haddish, Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz, Anthony Anderson, Jelly Roll and, as a special treat for our commander-in-chief, I asked one of his all-time favorites, Rosie O\u2019Donnell, to be here to keep the hits coming.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year, Kimmel joked<\/a> that O\u2019Donnell\u2019s feud with Trump was longer-running than his own (fake) feud with a certain Odyssey actor. \u201cThis feud with Rosie\u2019s been going longer than me and Matt Damon now,\u201d Kimmel said. <\/p>\n
