An Australian national has died in Vietnam, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has confirmed.<\/p>\n
DFAT confirmed it was supporting the family of the Australian and offering consular assistance.<\/p>\n
The department did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the Australian\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe send our deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time,\u201d DFAT said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201dOwing to our privacy obligations, we are unable to provide further comment,\u201d the spokesman added.<\/p>\n
The department can offer consular support to families who have lost a loved one overseas in a variety of ways.<\/p>\n
