Gary Woodland has been named the fourth and final captain’s assistant on Brandt Snedeker’s United States staff for the Presidents Cup.

Woodland, 42, is the fourth and final assistant, joining \u200cJim Furyk, Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson on the staff of captain Brandt Snedeker in a US squad that’s set to face its international opponents from outside of Europe from September 24-27 at Medinah Country Club near Chicago.<\/p>\n
Woodland won the Houston Open in March, his first PGA Tour victory since surgery to remove \u200ca brain tumour \u200cin 2023. \u2060Following the surgery, he experienced bouts of anxiety and \u200bwas diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n
The title at Houston came just weeks after he publicly revealed his struggles with PTSD.<\/p>\n
“Gary has earned tremendous respect from his peers through the way he competes, leads and represents the game,” Snedeker said.<\/p>\n
“Having worked alongside him at \u200cthe \u200b2025 Ryder Cup, I saw first hand the perspective, passion and team-first mentality he \u200bbrings to the \u200clocker room, and I know those qualities will make him a valuable \u200baddition to our leadership group.”<\/p>\n
Woodland has five career PGA Tour wins, including the 2019 US Open. He was a member of the team \u200bthat \u200bwon the Presidents Cup in \u200b2019 in Australia.<\/p>\n
In 2025, he also served \u200cas a vice-captain for the United States at the Ryder Cup.<\/p>\n
