The talented midfielder putting pen to paper just shy of her 25th\u00a0birthday, reaffirming her commitment to Fremantle.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecuring Gabby’s future\u00a0through to\u00a02029 is significant for our playing group,\u201d AFLW List Manager Darryn Fry said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The former number one draft pick was recruited to Freo during the 2023 trade period, following five seasons with the Western Bulldogs.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter moving away from her strong family connections to join Fremantle and to now commit her future here through to at least 2029, speaks highly about the direction of our AFLW program and football club,\u201d\u00a0Fry said.\u00a0

\u201cGabby\u2019s\u00a0on field development since arriving at the\u00a0Club has been fantastic. Gabby has embraced life in WA, and her commitment reinforces the belief that our program is building something special under Lisa\u00a0Webb\u2019s\u00a0coaching.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n
Newton has been used in multiple roles and last season she averaged 24.4 disposals in 12 matches to\u00a0earn her first All Australian selection.\u00a0
