It ends the possibility of Verstappen taking Oscar Piastri\u2019s seat at McLaren.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis remains the ultimate goal that all of us have been working towards and will continue to pursue.\u201d<\/p>\n
Verstappen joined Red Bull\u2019s junior program in 2014 before being promoted to the senior team in 2016, famously winning the Spanish Grand Prix on his Red Bull debut.<\/p>\n
He has since won four drivers\u2019 world championships and 71 Grands Prix with the team, while helping Red Bull claim two constructors\u2019 championships.<\/p>\n

Despite speculation surrounding his future, Verstappen said remaining with the organisation was something he had always wanted.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have always said it: the team is like a second family for me and I feel very at home,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo continue this journey with the same team that I have been with my whole career is really special and something I have always wanted to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
