\n\tMyles Bullock Be is ready for some peepin\u2019 and some creepin\u2019 as he has nabbed the role of Dr. Dre<\/a> in Snoop, Universal Pictures\u2019 biopic of entertainment mogul and music icon Snoop Dogg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tCraig Brewer<\/a> is directing the feature, which is being produced by Imagine Entertainment\u2019s Brian Grazer, the veteran producer behind the semi-autobiographical Eminem drama 8 Mile, and the company\u2019s Allan Mandelbaum. Snoop Dogg and Death Row Pictures president Sara Ramaker are also producing. <\/p>\n

\n\tJonathan Daviss, one of the stars of Netflix series Outer Banks, is portraying Snoop Dogg, who emerged from Long Beach, California, in the 1990s to become one of the biggest names in rap.<\/p>\n

\n\tKey to his success was his relationship with Dre, one of the members of influential gangsta rap group N.W.A. In the early 1990s, as Dre made his seminal solo album The Chronic, he was given a cassette of demo tracks featuring a young Snoop Dogg. He was impressed that he put Snoop Dogg on numerous tracks, including the mega-successful single \u201cNuthin\u2019 But a \u2018G\u2019 Thang.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDre became Snoop Dogg\u2019s mentor and produced the latter\u2019s debut album, Doggystyle, which is considered one of the key albums of the 1990s.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrewer, who recently directed\u00a0Song Sung Blue\u00a0for Universal\u2019s specialty studio Focus Features, wrote the latest draft of the script, which was initially written by Joe Robert Cole. The feature will incorporate music from Snoop Dogg\u2019s vast catalog.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal, which previously made 2015\u2019s Oscar-nominated N.W.A. biopic\u00a0Straight\u00a0Outta\u00a0Compton, will release\u00a0Snoop\u00a0on Aug. 6, 2027.<\/p>\n

\n\tSenior vp production development Ryan\u00a0Jones and director of development Tony Ducret are overseeing the project for the studio.\u00a0Imagine\u2019s Jeb Brody is executive producing. <\/p>\n

\n\tSnoop reunites Bullock Be with Brewer, who directed him in the 2024 Peacock miniseries Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, which had the actor part of an all-star cast that included Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson and Samuel L. Jackson.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor appeared in 20th Century\u2019s White Men Can\u2019t Jump and did a stint on Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson\u2019s hit Starz series BMF, and earlier on starred in Marvel series Runaways.<\/p>\n
