<\/p>\nA Perth man has appeared in court accused of threatening to kill One Nation leader Pauline Hanson.<\/p>\n
Anton Raymond Illich, 47, is accused of making three Facebook posts, including on a One Nation members and supporters page.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In one of the posts, Mr Illich said he would “hunt her down and kill her”, a Perth court has heard.<\/p>\n
The 47-year-old was charged in July with two counts of using a carriage service to make a threat, but it was only revealed today in court Ms Hanson was the subject of the threats.<\/p>\n
Mr Illich, who was representing himself, admitted it was “stupid, crazy” and told the court he did it because he wanted to shut down his Facebook account.<\/p>\n
He said he had no intent and he was “never a direct threat”.<\/p>\n
Mr Illich indicated he wanted to plead guilty, but the court heard that the matter is likely to go to a higher court.<\/p>\n
The magistrate ordered that he cannot contact Ms Hanson.<\/p>\n
The Australian Federal Police said in July it had started an investigation after receiving notification of an alleged online threat to kill a federal parliamentarian.<\/p>\n
The identities of the accused and the parliamentarian were not revealed at the time.<\/p>\n
The maximum penalty for the offence is ten years in prison.<\/p>\n

Mr Illich, who’s on bail, is scheduled to appear in the magistrates court again in October.<\/p>\n
