Hussey was more forthcoming on Ben Stokes\u2019 abrupt retirement during England\u2019s series loss to New Zealand, saying he \u201cwould not be surprised\u201d to see the all-rounder return for the Ashes next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a bit of a bizarre retirement, happening mid-series, mid-Test match.\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think every player who retires, they kind of get to a place where they know they\u2019ve had enough, and Stokes obviously picked that time. <\/p>\n
\u201cI thought it was a little bit messy, definitely. <\/p>\n
\u201cI would not rule out a comeback, though. He\u2019s done it before in one-day cricket for England, there\u2019s the Ashes coming up next year as well. <\/p>\n
