However, Pant could not connect and the ball crashed onto his left arm. He was seen grimacing in pain after copping the blow. He was attended by the Indian team physiotherapist.

An ice pack was applied on Pant’s hand before taping it up, but soon it was taken off as the wicketkeeper-batter was visibly in pain.

Eventually, Pant, who made three off 15 balls, walked off the pitch with the physiotherapist in the 58th over of the innings.

Ravindra Jadeja came into the middle and joined Devdutt Padikkal.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant retired hurt from the second Test against Sri Lanka after a bouncer from Lahiru…

[564
64,63,740,434875,426795,434876,39141,85,195732
post-865919","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-cricket","tag-au","tag-australia","tag-cricket","tag-cricket-injury-update","tag-india-vs-sri-lanka-test","tag-lahiru-kumara-bowling","tag-rishabh-pant-injury","tag-sports","tag-test-match-cricket
["GET
