The Las Vegas Raiders reportedly had a major injury scare during Sunday’s training camp practice.<\/p>\n
Per Vincent Bonsignore<\/a> of the California Post, Raiders second-year running back Ashton Jeanty injured his leg in practice and could not put pressure on it as he left the field. The team reportedly gathered and took a moment to acknowledge the injury.<\/p>\n ESPN’s\u00a0Ryan McFadden<\/a>\u00a0reported that Jeanty suffered the injury when he dove for a catch and landed awkwardly on his right leg during team drills. He was helped off the field by trainers. McFadden\u00a0added<\/a>\u00a0that the team doesn’t have a statement on Jeanty’s status at this time.<\/p>\n The No. 6 pick in the 2025 draft, Jeanty started all 17 games for the Raiders as a rookie and recorded 266 carries for 975 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 55 receptions for 346 yards and five more scores.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, McFadden reported that Jeanty “has looked extremely comfortable in this outside zone scheme” instituted by first-year head coach Klint Kubiak. He reportedly “has had multiple explosive runs down the sidelines during practice,” and Kubiak wanted him to be “a bell-cow running back.”<\/p>\n The Raiders added depth to their running back room when they selected Mike Washington Jr. in the fourth round of this year’s draft.
