Brent Duffe will no longer be Haiden Deegan\u2019s mechanic it has emerged over the weekend, and it will be a blow for Deegan in 2027 as the Duffe has been Haiden\u2019s mechanic since he turned professional! Rumours have it Duffe may be going to F1!\u00a0<\/p>\n
Deegan was asked about losing Duffe in the post-race press conference and he had this to say:<\/p>\n
\u201cDuff has been with me since the start. It\u2019s kind of hard, you know,\u00a0to just let him go like that. It\u2019s obviously his choice. He\u2019s getting older now, and I mean,\u00a0when you get money and a little bit different future, why not take it, you know? He\u2019s getting\u00a0to the point where he wants to have a family as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese dirt bike races, it\u2019s 24-7.\u00a0Every single day, to be honest, they don\u2019t get a time off. So I mean, honestly,\u00a0I don\u2019t like bag on him for it because it was a smart decision. But again, I mean,\u00a0it sucks because I\u2019ve been with him for a while. So hopefully we can find a guy with\u00a0a good personality like Duff and keep seeing, you know, the team excited.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuff\u2019s just full of excitement, really. I mean, I feel like he\u2019s probably got one of\u00a0the best personalities in the pits. He\u2019s always just hyped everything up, to be honest. And I\u2019m just glad to have a mechanic like that. It\u2019s hard when you have a mechanic\u00a0that\u2019s kind of a downer. It doesn\u2019t get you motivated much, but Duff\u2019s always there.\u201d<\/p>\n
