A smiling Princess of Wales has joined the royal family for their first joint outing since it was revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan are moving back to Britain.<\/p>\n

Kate was pictured in the passenger seat of a car alongside Prince William and their children – Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 – driving toward a church service at Crathie Kirk, a church near Balmoral Castle, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence, and Prince Edward and his daughter, Lady Louise, also joined the outing.<\/p>\n

The Wales\u2019 reportedly arrived at the royals\u2019 annual summer retreat at Balmoral in Scotland last Thursday, around the same time as the Sussex news broke.<\/p>\n

As news.com.au reported at the time, Harry, Meghan, and their two children are moving to the UK for an \u201cextended period\u201d – and Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are already even enrolled in school.<\/p>\n

Just days before the unexpected news was made public, it\u2019s understood the King was informed of the couples\u2019 decision.<\/p>\n

The monarch was said to be delighted by the move, which comes just weeks after he had a long-awaited reunion with his two grandchildren during a top-secret meeting at his private residence, Highgrove.<\/p>\n

While he and Harry are said to be in regular contact after a challenging post-royal exit patch in their relationship, it\u2019s a very different story when it comes to William.<\/p>\n

According to sources, there has been no contact between the brothers for years – and there are no plans for that status to change.<\/p>\n

Of course, that may change when they are once again living in the same country.<\/p>\n

Harry has openly expressed his desire to reconnect with his family \u2013 which also includes the Spencers, his mothers\u2019 relatives \u2013 in the past 12 months or so, including during his BBC interview last May, where he admitted he\u2019d \u201clove a reconciliation\u201d.<\/p>\n

As everyone now knows, there were simmering tensions between the once-dubbed \u201cAwesome Foursome\u201d in the lead-up to Harry and Meghan\u2019s decision to \u201cstep back\u201d from royal duties in early 2020.<\/p>\n

However, it was the details shared in their explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, their Netflix docu-series, and Harry\u2019s memoir Spare that eventually proved the catalyst for a full-blown estrangement.<\/p>\n

Since the release of Spare in early 2023, Harry has only been in the same room as his brother twice \u2013 for their father\u2019s coronation in May of that year, and for the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, in mid-2024.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s believed that on neither occasion did the pair exchange even a single word.<\/p>\n
