FSW hires Matt Creamer as new women’s basketball head coach<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a busy season of change for Florida SouthWestern State College athletics!<\/p>\n

From a new athletic director<\/a> to several coaching changes, there have been a lot of new faces here in Fort Myers, and one of them has just settled in right before the start of the season!<\/p>\n

FSW WBB Head Coach Matt Creamer said, \u201cKevin called me, and I said, \u2018Why not, let\u2019s do it.’ I\u2019m truly honored to be here and to work for Kevin and to put a good product on the floor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt Creamer is the new head coach for the FSW women\u2019s basketball team.<\/p>\n

He brings nearly two decades of coaching experience across several levels of men’s and women\u2019s college basketball, and he\u2019s ready to lead the Bucs back to national success.<\/p>\n

Creamer said, \u201cI\u2019ve turned down some head jobs in the past, some D-1 assistant jobs, and this was the right fit. This was the job I wanted honestly for the last several years, and to get the opportunity to it, I\u2019m not going to take it lightly, so I\u2019m going to bring it every day for the fans and the community and the players.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt might have arrived two months before the start of the season, but he feels optimistic about what\u2019s to come this year and beyond.<\/p>\n

Creamer said, \u201cWe\u2019re going to bring it every day, and everything is going to be disciplined. They\u2019re going to do it the right way; they\u2019re going to represent their parents, themselves, and our program on and off the floor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Practices will get underway soon for the Bucs as Creamer and his staff get the team set for the start of the season in October.<\/p>\n
