Meanwhile, fellow CODE Sports reporter Dean Ritchie described the arrangement as a \u201cstandard corporate employment contract\u201d and questioned if Maguire or any coach would willingly accept it.<\/p>\n
Ritchie said, \u201cIt\u2019s called a standard corporate employment contract. If they offered it to a coach, I think the coach could have the right to say go jam it. <\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t sign anything like that. <\/p>\n
\u201cEither back me or sack me, but don\u2019t offer me an ongoing contract where you can get missiled every week <\/p>\n
The potential contract changes come as the Broncos are on the hunt for a new assistant coach, with the club still needing to fill the vacancy left by Ben Te\u2019o earlier in the year<\/p>\n
\u201cThey never replaced Ben Te\u2019o, so they\u2019ve got to fill that spot,\u201d Read said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCorey Parker\u2019s been mentioned. He\u2019s a polarising figure Corey. He\u2019s got some support. He\u2019s got a few enemies,\u201d Ritchie added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether he can coach, I don\u2019t know. He\u2019s got some good attributes. Played nearly 350 games. <\/p>\n
\u201cGood with forwards (and) good with defence so there\u2019s no doubt he\u2019s someone that they would consider.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brent Read suggested Parker\u2019s appointment could prove particularly interesting given his public support of Maguire and his willingness to criticise players in his role as part of the media on radio and television.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf he has been highly pro-Madge and if there\u2019s players there that aren\u2019t as close or keen on the coach, then the employment of Corey Parker may impact those players,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
