St Helens<\/a> playmaker and former NRL<\/a> player Jackson Hastings<\/a> is set to miss the final three games of the season after punching a player in his most recent Super League<\/a> match.<\/p>\n

Hastings was sent off during the first half of the match against Castleford Tigers<\/a> for punching Tyler Dupree in the most recent round of the Super League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old received a Grade E punching charge, and due to his previous record, Hastings’ send-off and punch were enough to earn a three-match ban.<\/p>\n

He will miss pivotal clashes that could define the Saints’ season.<\/p>\n

Tyler Dupree, the Tigers forward, was sin-binned for his involvement as he attempted to make his way down the tunnel and charge down Hastings.<\/p>\n

The 2019 Man of Steel winner will miss the match against their rivals, Leeds Rhinos<\/a>, then the Leigh Leopards<\/a> and Hull KR<\/a> to finish the season.<\/p>\n

The former Newcastle Knights<\/a> half sits second in try assists with 28, only behind Jake Connor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Near the end of July, St Helens<\/a> coach Paul Rowley left the Super League<\/a> after nine months in charge.<\/p>\n

Currently, Eamon O’Carroll<\/a>, who was an assistant coach, has become the club’s interim coach for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

Kevin Walters<\/a> recently signed to become the Saints coach on a three-year deal starting from next season.<\/p>\n

The current Kangaroos coach will start his new role with the Saints after coaching Australia<\/a> in the World Cup, which starts in October.<\/p>\n

Hastings’ future in the Super League<\/a> remains uncertain, with analysts calling for St Helens<\/a> to prioritise their younger talent and let Hastings’ 12-month deal run out.<\/p>\n

St Helens’<\/a> current roster consists of former NRL<\/a> players Tristan Sailor<\/a>, Curtis Sironen<\/a>, David Klemmer<\/a>, and Jacob Host<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The club has also signed former Wests Tigers<\/a> centre Solomona Faataape<\/a> on a two-year deal starting from the 2027 season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Saints are hoping to finish in the top six after their 36-12 win over the Tigers.<\/p>\n
