{"id":867550,"date":"2026-08-25T06:30:19","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T06:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/867550\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T06:30:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T06:30:19","slug":"supercars-andrew-edwards-filling-in-as-broc-feeney-engineer-nick-percat-reunion-at-triple-eight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/867550\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars: Andrew Edwards filling in as Broc Feeney engineer, Nick Percat reunion at Triple Eight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CIRCUMSTANCES have thrust <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-38-Nick-Percat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Percat<\/a> and Andrew Edwards back into a driver\/engineer relationship at today\u2019s Queensland Raceway test day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The duo spent the best part of four seasons together as a combination at Brad Jones Racing, achieving two pole positions, two wins and a further five podiums, before going their separate ways for 2022 (Edwards to Triple Eight and Percat to Walkinshaw Andretti United).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edwards has thereafter engineered Shane van Gisbergen and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1292-Will-Brown\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Will Brown<\/a> to championships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The weekend\u2019s Ipswich Super440 was the last event for \u2018AE\u2019 directly on Car #888, with Triple Eight promoting him to head of performance and David Cauchi taking the reins on Brown\u2019s Mustang.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/RGP-2026-Century-Batteries-Ipswish-S440-_25A0642-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-262926\"  \/>Andrew Edwards on the Ipswich Super440 podium after guiding Will Brown to victory.
