{"id":867566,"date":"2026-08-25T06:46:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T06:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/867566\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T06:46:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T06:46:17","slug":"why-an-aussie-cricket-legend-has-come-out-in-support-of-ex-pakistani-pm-imran-khan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/867566\/","title":{"rendered":"Why an Aussie cricket legend has come out in support of ex-Pakistani PM Imran Khan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Cricket greats from across the world, have come together to raise concerns about the treatment of Pakistan&#8217;s former cricket captain turned Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been in jail since 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">The 73-year-old is being held on charges of corruption, which he denies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Last week Pakistan&#8217;s Supreme Court ordered Mr Khan be transferred to a private hospital after his family and friends expressed concern for his health.
