<\/p>\nNRL great and media star Bryan Fletcher has spoken about the painful moment he had to leave his afternoon radio show and be rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n
Fletcher was in his usual slot on SEN\u2019s The Run Home on Monday afternoon when he began to feel a sharp pain in his stomach and abruptly left the program.<\/p>\n

He was taken to hospital by the show\u2019s producer, Alex Molchanoff, before vomiting once he reached the emergency room. <\/p>\n
The former Roosters and Rabbitohs star explained what occurred while speaking on SEN from home on Tuesday afternoon. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe pain was literally like turning on a light switch and I went, \u2018Oh geez that\u2019s not great\u2019 and then it just got progressively worse,\u201d\u00a0Fletcher said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just told Alex to floor it. I was forcing him to get through red lights. I think it shocked him a little bit because then I threw up everywhere in the emergency room \u2013 and when I say throw up, it was like projectile.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey wouldn\u2019t let me drink because I was parched. They said \u2018No, we can\u2019t let you drink because we may need to operate on you\u2019. After copious amounts of fentanyl that didn\u2019t work, they took me in for a CT scan and said I\u2019ve got kidney stones.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey gave me a suppository that I had to administer myself. I was stuck in this little room to myself and they gave me the little bullet (suppository) and then bang I put it in and I was as good as gold.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbout 11pm that night, two little rocks popped out.\u201d<\/p>\n
After being released from hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Fletcher spent the day recovering at home but insists he will return to air this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll be good to go,\u201d the ex-NSW Blues forward said.<\/p>\n
Fletcher played 225 first grade games across stints with the Roosters, South Sydney and Super League club Wigan. <\/p>\n
